Jamie Peyton, DVM, Diplomat ACVECC

Dr. Peyton graduated Summa Cum Laude and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Auburn University and then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with honors from the University of Florida.

After a small animal internship at Texas A&M University, Dr. Peyton moved to California and completed a residency in emergency and critical care at the University of California at Davis.

Dr Peyton received a case report award from the International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Symposium in 2007 and has authored several published articles regarding Critical Care in veterinary medicine.

Her professional interests include veterinary nutrition, critical care, cardiovascular monitoring, sepsis, and mechanical ventilator support.

Dr. Peyton has many animal companions and enjoys spending her free time hiking with her dogs, riding and training her horses, and caring for her bird, cats, and tortoise.
